The Southern California 147.435 FM repeater (435) is famous for lively discussion on controversial subjects. Located on Santiago Peak (5,600 feet), this amateur radio repeater covers a population of about 20 Million people within Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
435 first went on the air in 1962, as the second oldest repeater in the Los Angeles area and one of the first FM amateur repeaters. Today, 435 is widely regarded as the world’s most famous amateur repeater.
